Pate The Great's Papa

This one is a couple of weeks old... just stumbled across it yesterday.

I had literally just walked in the door from being on the road, and found Pate watching a "little einstein" video... his mom in the other room packing for the move... he looked up with a smile and said "Hey buddy!" then he wrapped his arm around me and we cuddled for a bit. It was awesome!

I pray he'll always be comfortable loving on his daddy - sharing life together!

I think we're pretty much past this stage now, but a few months ago when Pate would see himself in a mirror he would usually give himself a big slobbery kiss - thank you Windex :)

Underdeveloped thought: As silly as it is - wouldn't it be great to see yourself through those innocent eyes again... to see value and not flaws... I believe the Truth tells us we can only love our neighbor as we love ourself. Maybe this is a part of why we must become like a child to enter the Kingdom of God?

Well, Pate-the-great finally has a new home! It's been a little more than a six month transition... and I am amazed at the way our little man has handled the chaos :) Now if his mom and dad could just do the same... I can't wait to get the deal closed and get our family moved in. We thank God for this blessing!
